Advanced Swing Fills..

This lesson is intended for people who know some basic swing rhythms, but don't really know where to go from there. Swing and Jazz drumming is an absolutely massive area which is often overlooked by many budding drummers because it's not perceived as being very useful in the rock world. Whilst it's true

that you generally won't want to bust out a swing rhythm in the middle of a rock song, many of the techniques that you develop playing jazz will translate over to rock/punk drumming and ultimately make you a better player.

I am always surprised how many supposed drummers simply aren't able to play triplets competently and when you ask them to do a filll around the kit they look at you as if you're speaking another language. If nothing else, just make sure you have a decent understanding of this lesson so you have another style to call on should the situation require it.
